The Story Behind PawperTube

With a background in the biological sciences and a decade working in pet retail, our founder, Jenni, has always been a strong advocate for feline enrichment. She knew firsthand how important puzzle feeders are for stimulating a cat's natural hunting instincts and keeping them active.

But when her own rescue cat, Abby, developed early signs of gingivitis, theory collided with reality. Abby's veterinarian recommended large dental kibble to help prevent the build up of plaque. Jenni immediately knew a puzzle feeder was the best way to serve it, but she quickly hit a wall: standard puzzle feeders simply weren't built for it. The openings were too small, and the oversized dental pieces constantly jammed.

By combining her biology expertise and her commitment to science-backed preventative care, Jenni created a practical solution to a frustrating problem.
